My bf just handed me a copy of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Return of the King. Talk about an old edition. A second edition 1965...I wasn't even alive when this was out it's 10 years older than me, wow. So the question today is
What is your oldest book? What year and how did you come across it?Can wait to compare answers on this one :)

My oldest book is from 1890. I found it buried in a corner of this little used bookstore. I love old books like that, I feel like there is so much history in them!
Ekk.... um I have gotten a couple VERY old ones from my Grandmas basement..... I got a couple of old ones from the 1900s at a library sale.... but yours is pretty old!
I think Hannah's is older than mine as mine is atleast in the 1900, and not 1800's so I think she wins
Hahaha. Its weird when I think about it because the book is 100 years older than I am, but when I saw your post I just had to share. It's not everyday you come across old books like that, even ones from the early 1900s.
