~House of Night Series: Chosen~
by: P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

This is the third in the series which follows, Zoey, Erik, Erin, Shaunee, Damien and Jack as they are adapting to their time at House of Night.  Zoey spends so much time keeping things from her friends, for fear of their safety and acceptance.  Erik has a feeling something is up but she keeps reassuring him that is not the case.  Zoey also finds common ground with Aphrodite, the girl she had de-throwned in the first book Marked.  Who knows Zoey is making mistakes but also knows what it is like to have things you can't tell everyone.  Someone is killing the adult vampyre's.  Neferet has decide to launch an attack against the humans.  Meanwhile Zoey become subject to a nasty affair and imprinting that backfires on her.  What she thinks is love is anything but.  Crushed and hurt she finds herself with two allies Aphrodite and Stevie Rae.  Everyone else has abandoned her due to her choices.

I enjoyed this book, and it felt more real.  I really felt bad for Zoey in certain parts of this story.  Like they were my friends mad at me.  It was really emotional this story.  Definitely  a great story and series.  I think Kristin adds a touch too it by being younger author.  To allow the teen angst to be so real, and so painful.  I rate this 5 stars as the series goes on I'm more and more hooked and wondering when the bad guy will get theirs.  Great job Girls keep it up!  You never cease to amaze me.

~House of Night Series: Betrayed~
by: P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

This book takes off where Marked left off.  Having Zoey showed the true colors of Aphrodite, and getting her de-throned. Zoey is now the head of the Dark Daughters and Sons, as well as a high priestess in training.  Of course Zoey didn't desire to be head of the Dark Daughters and Sons so she is feeling some guilt about taking that away from Aphrodite.   Her boyfriend Erik is doing a monologue for a good part of the book and is absent from the House of Night, so she ends up meeting Loren Blake who is a part time professor, and he seems very interested in the young fledgling.  Zoey finds herself keeping up with three different men, Loren, Erik and of course Heath, her human boyfriend/ex-boyfriend.  One of the main characters doesn't adapt to the change well and Zoey spends much time feeling horrible over it and like her life can't continue.  Her friends try to cheer her up, even though that seems impossible.  And Zoey starts to question her mentors true intentions.

I really enjoy this series as it's refreshing to have a main character who deals with hurt and pain, to know that not everything is fun and games.  Really gives a depth to her.  Although I wish at least on the man front that she would pick on or at least if she is having so many issues to dump them all and go back to scratch.  I rate this book 4 cups as it has some slow parts and then picks up when you find yourself at the end of the story.

~The Reckoning~
by: Kelley Armstrong

This is the third book in the series, we find Chloe, Simon, Derek and Tori have been on the run for what seems like forever.  They have thought allies are that allies and now it turns out there were just different levels of backstabbing.  Chloe and the others are becoming more in control of their super powers.  There was a lot more action in this story then the others.  Finally certain people are able to get their payback to the Edison Group like Tori, who's mother is a big part of the Edison Group.  The boys get reconnected with their father.  I really enjoyed this book, and series so far.  Showed that the pretty girl didn't have to wind up with the cute boy, and that sometimes not everything is what it seems.  And to not underestimate the power of kids.

I can't wait to see what comes next.  I rate this 5 cups cause it left me running through the book to see how it ended.  Definitely held my attention for great lengths.  I totally recommend this book to anyone and everyone.  Anyone would be able to connect with any of the main characters.

~The Awakening~
by: Kelley Armstrong

When we left Chloe she had been caught by the Edison Group, and so much has been learned.  We found out that Chloe, Simon, Tori, Rae and Derek were part of kids that were experimented on and given unusual powers.  Most of this book is spent with Chloe, Simon, Tori and Derek on the run from the Edison Group with the help of Liz, who's now a ghost at the hands of the Edison Group.  Having been betrayed by Rae, who seems to accept the stories she's been sold.  The other four aren't, and they are angry.

This book was good as you learned more about what these kids are having done to them.  The adults seem well slow at best for catching the kids, these kids are always one step ahead of them.  They also find a semi-ali in Andrew who was a ex-worker of the Edison Group who's formed a group to go against the Edison Group.  Of course the kids are skeptical of what Andrew's plan or intention really is.

Lots of action and of course with Chloe lots of dead people rising.  I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

I can't help but wonder what Tori's true intention is.  What did you think of this one?

~House Of Night Series~
Book 1: Marked
by: P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

What happens when you are marked and now that you can't live a normal life?  Well Zoey knows that her only rescue of being marked is to get to the house of night.  Of course that is easier said then done.  As she goes home and her stepfather prepares to have religion shoved down her throat to some how save her.  So she runs to her Grandmother who knows what Zoey needs.  She takes her to the House of Night.  Where Zoey will get guidance, loving friends, and the education she needs while she waits to see if her body will accept the change or not.

I really liked this book as it went beyond the typical vampire book, which doesn't deal much with the change that happens when one gets marked, or in some stories bitten.  I like how she had to overcome some obstacles.  If it was too easy for her to fit in then what kind of story would it be?

There really wasn't much I didn't enjoy about the book you had your bully, and your hero, and of course there is always a cute boy to attract the heroine.  I especially like Zoey's mentor.  There are times she sounds like a mentor that a lot of people wouldn't mind calling mom.

I think P.C. Cast hit on something and I think what makes the series extra special is that she wrote it with her daughter Kristin Cast, which must be such a great thing.  Cause many years from now they will be able to sit back and recall when they wrote a series that caught an audience.

I give this 5 cups.  It's great and even adults can read it and can recall identifying with atlas one character if not more.  I can't wait to start Betrayed.

~Shoulder Bags and Shootings~
by: Dorothy Howell

This book follows a young college student named Haley who has just come back from a mini-vacation with her new boyfriend Ty.  When murder follows her in the trunk of her boyfriend's grandmother's car.  The main suspect is Haley.  During all of this Haley is scouring Los Angeles for a Sinful handbag.

While this is a good light read, not what one would consider a heavy mystery at all.  Haley spends most of the time obsessing over a handbag, and getting her co-workers in all sorts of setbacks as they try to reach a high customer service rating.  At times it felt a little cheesy for lack of a better word.

I think the author should have focused more on the murder and less on the handbag obsession.  It's good for a person who loves handbags, but if your looking for a good mystery you might want to scour else where.

~All I Ever Wanted~
by: Kristan Higgins

This book tells the story of Callie Grey who's looking for the same thing all women are looking for love, and to settle down to the next phase of her life.  To bed her 1st kiss doesn't feel that way.  Mark her boss at her job has decided to plan a beautiful night for Callie only to tell her they are over.  Through out this book we watch as Callie gets walked all over by Mark and his new fiance Muriel.  Callie decides at first that the best way to get past this would be to make him jealous but ultimately she doesn't do that she ends up getting hooked with the town vet.  Meanwhile her father Tobias who cheated and dumped her mother many years ago when she was pregnant with Callie's brother has decided he wants Callie's help to woo her back.  Callie's mom wants him to tell his one nighters all about why he was separated.  Which brought three different women, one a widow, one blind, and one really old.  Which brought up issues between the two over why he cheated and left.  In the end they were able to reconcile.  Also along the way Noah who is a Vermont legend with his boat making was able to found some pleasure in the final days with a local girl, Jody.

This book was cute and I found myself cracking up over Noah's attitude and language he reminds me of what a New Englander can be like old and crotchety.  It was a great read and brought a smile to my face.

There wasn't much I didn't like and considering this was a HQN book that is a surprise usually I don't like them as much.  But this one I enjoyed.  This review was requested by FSB Media for a arc copy of the book.

~Annexed~
by: Sharon Dogar

This story follows young Peter van Pels as he was along with his parents forced to go into hiding, in the famous Annex that Anne Frank wrote about in her diary (aka Kitty). While she wrote about the silence that they endured Peter's story is about how he felt. It started out when he went to a friends house Liese and watched as she was carted off to the death camps. Even though Peter was silent in the majority of Anne's story it is interesting to see what he thinks, how God deserted them while in the Annex. How Peter wanted to be a man, to build things out of wood, make love to a girl. How their future was undefined.

The writer did a great job at telling such a sad story. We all know the outcome for the future 8, and that in the end the one left was Otto Frank to tell his daughter's story. How Anne asked Peter "Would anyone ever know about them, or their story?" How a boy who hated Anne Frank so much came in the end to fall in love with her.

I know in this day and age alot of people have trouble still to this day with the what the German's did but if one can read Anne's diary one should definitely try to read Peter's story. It gives you a different spin on what was happening. How he wanted to beat up the German's.

At one point Peter thinks he just wants to be a man, not even saying he's Jewish. In the beginning of the book he went out walking with out his sticker on his sleeve and how people treated him differently. They treated him like he was normal and not Jewish.

Once they were caught the story went beyond the Diary to talk about what it was like in the camps that more than likely Peter survived a long time, 6 months longer than his father and a few days longer than his mother. That when the German's marched him on a death march, to wear his body down hoping he would die. He died at age 19.

This story was very well told, makes you feel bad for those who went hiding but good to know their story was told. I would recommend this story to others.

This book was sent to me via NetGalley for a honest and fair review

~Trickster Girl~

 by: Hillari Bell

reviewed by: VKProductions 7/22/2010

It is not often that I come across a book that manages to keep my attention for more than five to ten minutes these days, but this book certainly did that.  It is the story of Kelsa Philips and her quest to heal damage done by a virus that is wiping out trees, and the choices she has to make, good or bad, to accomplish that goal.

The story starts out as many others, with a familiar reference, in this case a funeral of a loved one, Kelsa’s father.  She is a typical teenager and reacts as anyone would imagine, until Raven appears, asking her to help him.  At first Kelsa thinks he’s a pervert and wants nothing to do with him, she soon realizes, however, that things aren’t always as they seem, and Raven, is able to change shape and manufacture objects out of thin air.  He is also able to manipulate the perception of those around him, and uses that to assist Kelsa in her ultimate goal.

Raven is a being known through the ages as the Trickster (conjuring up visions of Loki from ancient Norse mythos) he convinces Kelsa that magic does indeed exist and that she must use it to heal the world, and get the magic to Alaska, so that Raven may finish the job, along the way she is chased by a biker gang, working for the enemies of those who would help heal this plague.

It is a fast paced, in depth look at a world we all hope will never come to be, with constant surveillance,  paranoia and fear mongering at every corner.  Hillari Bell brings it to life in a way that makes it seem a little less scary, and definitely a little less wanted.  This book is recommended for anyone who has a few hours to spare on a good entertaining story.

~The Summoning~
by: Kelley Armstrong

Chloe Sanders wanted to be a working in films when she got older, but nothing could prepare her for what happened when she got her period. Chloe has seen people that have been chalked up to as boogeymen, but what Chloe didn’t know was the when she went to Lyle house for her mental breakdown, that the people she had seen weren’t boogeymen. She and many kids like her were part of an experiment by the Edison Group. They are called Supernaturals the powers range from, Spellcaster, Witch, Werewolf, Firestarer, and Necromancer. The book is written by Kelley Armstrong who has written various books of fiction on the supernatural. What Chloe didn’t realize was how many adults were connected to the Edison Group including Chloe’s aunt who cared for since her mother died. I really enjoyed this story, mind you it was a bit slow in the beginning like most stories but when it picked up I couldn’t put it down. I think it’s a great read, especially for teens who want to learn about the paranormal without the heavy love context that adult books offer. I wish the parts where it picked up there was more to the story there, as it took along time with the background info I found myself bored at times with it. Am reading the 2nd one now. I rate this book a 4 cups as it was a bit slow in some areas and had a bad cliffhanger, have I ever mentioned how much I hate cliffhangers cause I am always wondering what’s next? How do you all feel about cliffhangers?

~My Gal Sunday~
by: Mary Higgins Clark

This book was written by Mary Higgins Clark, it is the sleuthing team of Henry Parker Britland IV, a loved former President with close ties to the government and his new bride of over a year Sunday who is beautiful, smart, and seventeen years younger.  Henry and Sunday make a formidable team of sleuths--and never more so then when they set out to solve crimes occurring among their friends in political high society.

The first crime involves a congressman friend of theirs  who is being charged of a crime he can't recall.  While they race to save their friend they learn more than they want to about the killer.

In the second crime Sunday has been kidnapped and Henry is forced to back to the White House and race the clock to rescue his beloved wife, before her time is up.

The Next story initials a yacht named the Colombia that Henry and his bride purchase through an auction over bidding Angelica De Rio who has papers hidden on the yacht talking about some evil things she had done to her spouse.

In the last mystery a couple goes on a honeymoon and comes home to find their son Jacques has been kidnapped.  They are informed not to alert the police.  Henry and Sunday stumble upon the boy while trimming their tree for Christmas.  The kidnappers have lost their claim to the boy when a car accident sends the boy running as far from them as possible.

I think these stories are great they give you a glimpse of what can happen outside politics.

~Dashing Through the Snow~
by: Mary Higgins Clark & Carol Higgins Clark

This was cute story for your christmas fancy.  It was written by Mary Higgins Clark and her daughter Carol Higgins Clark.  It's the story of co-workers who played the lottery always hopping to land a winning ticket.  They were bummed when this year their boss the local store owner gives them a wedding picture of him and the 'skunk' his 2nd wife.  When one of the co-workers disappears after the winners of the ticket is announced.  Many speculate as to what happened to him.

In the picturesque village of Branscombe, New Hampshire, the townsfolk are all pitching in to prepare for the first (and many hope annual) Festival of Joy. The night before the festival begins, a group of employees at the local market learn that they have won $160 million in the lottery. One of their co-workers, Duncan, decided at the last minute, on the advice of a pair of crooks masquerading as financial advisers, not to play. Then he goes missing. A second winning lottery ticket was purchased in the next town, but the winner hasn't come forward. Could Duncan have secretly bought it?
The Clarks' endearing heroes -- Alvirah Meehan, the amateur sleuth, and private investigator Regan Reilly -- have arrived in Branscombe for the festival. They are just the people to find out what is amiss. As they dig beneath the surface, they find that life in Branscombe is not as tranquil as it appears. So much for an old-fashioned weekend in the country. This fast-paced holiday caper will keep you dashing through the pages!
I really enjoyed this story, just enough to make people wonder when the sleuths will figure out where people are but not too much that it gets distracting during the holidays.  It's also a great book written with out the foul language, which is a rarity.

~Fallen~
by: Lauren Kate

There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.  Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at Sword & Cross boarding school in Savannah.  He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are screwups, and security cameras watch every move.  Except Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--he goes out of his way to make that very clear.  But she can't let it go.  Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her.  Dangerous, exciting and darkly romantic, Fallen is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

I really enjoyed this book, although parts of it seemed like Twilight it was clearly very different the main character Luce is sent to boarding school as a last ditch effort to save Luce from pending doom of being a bad seed.  Not that she is bad per se, bad thing happen around her that she can't explain or justify.  Upon entering the school she falls into a tug of war between Cam, herself and Daniel.  She feels pulled toward him, even though everything in her says he's not interested.  Cam seems way too into her, making her feel good, but when that good turns bad Daniel is the one to save her time and again.  What I found thrilling is the love story aspect of the story.  And the character of Penn who's been attached to the Sword and Cross since her father was alive.  She is able to show Luce things about Daniel, and geniounly becomes a friend to Luce.
I was saddened when the ending came about.  And I don't get sad over most things, but for some reason this ending for one of the characters made me feel so bad for Luce.  Over all a great read, I wish some of the bad characters got what they had coming, but like any book they love to keep you hanging.

Lauren Kate's next book Torment will be out in Autumn and I for one can't wait!

~When the Wind Blows~
by: James Patterson

When the Wind Blows is a new series by James Patterson which is the story of Max, and her friends who have special abilities.  They are raised in 'the school', not a typical school by any stretch.  The book opens with Frannie O'Neill and 'Kit Harrison'.  Frannie is dealing with her inn-patient animal clinic, and getting over the loss of her husband.  'Kit Harrison' aka Tom Brennen who is trying to figure out what is going on with mysterious deaths in Colorado and crazy scientists.  Soon Frannie meets Max but unaware of who she is or how she can fly.  Most of the book is spent getting Max to trust them.  Max has only ever dealt with people who lie, or harm others by 'putting them to sleep'.  Kit and Frannie never falter in their love for Max or the other children.

I really enjoyed this book, a bit slow in some areas but it picks up and in the end you find you want more, or atleast I did.  I was sad that the story ended.  I think Patterson did a great job making the chapters small incase you have to stop to do something.  It was a really great story.  I could feel myself cheering when the bad guys got theirs. I rate this book five cups!

~Revenge Served Cold~
by: Jackie Fullerton

This book was sent to me via the Cadence Group and it's about a murder mystery.  When Kathy Spence's husband gets murdered, who's the murderer.  Kathy Spence has been hiding some ugly skeleton's in her closet.  Mainly her ability not to be able to have children.  Meanwhile the love shown between Kathy and Elliot is enough to over come the childless situation.  When Elliot is murdered it becomes hard for Kathy's friend Shirley to even comprehend how Kathy can be blamed let alone be the prime suspect in his death.  It's up to Anne and her classmates to figure what happened to their beloved Professor Elliot Spence.

This was a great read.  It had humorous parts like listening to disputes while Anne makes sense of the real case she is working on.  The bond between a father and daughter which can surpass a life and death bond.  It kept you wanting to see how things were figured out and if the bad guys were ever going to get caught.  And a 15 year old mystery connected the dots.  Definitely a great read.  Can't wait to see what the author will come up with next.

~The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner~
by: Stephenie Meyer

Most of what we knew about Bree Tanner was learned in this book it tells what happened prior to Eclipse all from Bree Tanner's point of view.  She was 15 when she was turned into a newborn vampire.  All to be part of an army sent to destroy the Cullen's and kill Bella.  Victoria, recruited Riley who recruited about 20-22 vampires to become the vampire army.  It was well written you get insight to how he was with them, how the newborns wondered what was up.  What the Voltori's involvement with this battle was all about.
What I didn't like was that it was too short, like the ending just popped up to fast.  I mean we know how it ends, but it just felt rushed once the 5 days were mentioned.  I think it could have been atleast a tad more longer.  I think she opened us up to many characters whether or not we hear anything more about them that is yet to be determined.

What I did like was that Bree was independent she didn't want to fight.  She knew something wasn't right.  That there was more to it then what Riley told them.  That the Voltori had a higher stake in this then what was mentioned.  That Bree was able to full share her story with Alice (the mindreader).  So if no one else knew atleast Alice knew Bree's story.  I would like to see her write about Freaky Fred, or Diego,  like what really happened to him.  Overall a good book and a must read.

~Dead Until Dark~
by: Charlaine Harris

This book is the first in a series that stars a barmaid named Sookie Stackhouse who lives with her grandmother in Louisiana.  She has what she terms a "disability" when in reality it's the ability to hear what people are thinking.  She tries to tune it out at times but finds that can be an impossible act in itself. She meets Bill Compton, who enters the bar she works in.  The tag line from the book is

Maybe having a vampire for a boyfriend isn't such a bright idea...
I found this book to be a great read.  It doesn't talk about vampires in the normal sense.  By this point there has been a world war with vampires so to speak.  So I think it is more advanced then what we know right now.  I like the story alot and am always curious to what is going to happen to Sookie next.

~Living Dead in Dallas~
by: Charlaine Harris

In this book we find Sookie and Bill being summoned to Eric to be sent to Dallas to investigate a few things.  But like Sookie's life with Bill not everything is up to par.  She first off has to pick up a coffin at the airport to bring to a hotel.  Which inside contains her beloved boyfriend.  She has to use her powers to determine what happened to a missing vampire, but alas in Sookie's favor is a deal she made the human would be turned over for justice or will he?

Great read as always Charlaine Harris has hit on something with her Sookie Stackhouse series.  They draw you in and leave you just enough room to beg for more.  I find myself having a great read and when it's over I'm dying for the next installation of Ms. Stackhouse.  She is a strong character considering most women in books aren't always the strongest.  I definitely recommend this series for anyone who's looking for a strong female role in a book.  Hats off to you Ms. Harris you rock!

~Club Dead~
by: Charlaine Harris

Sookie Stackhouse is back again as we find ourselves heading back to Bon Temps.  This time her beloved Vampire Bill is missing.  This one sends Sookie to Memphis to inquire with her mind skills, what has happened to Bill Compton.  So to sum it up.  Sookie is a barmaid who hears what others think. She calls it her "disability" which it really isn't.  She fell for Bill due to the fact she thought it was great that she couldn't hear what he is thinking.  Her boss Sam Merlott has a crush on her.  Her brother Jason Stackhouse has to be biggest player in the world.  The only one looking out for Sookie in Club Dead is Eric the vampire who has Alcide Herveaux a werewolf to keep Sookie safe while in Memphis.

I like this book, as it shows what she would go through if she separated from Bill.  There are ups and downs as with any of the Sookie stories, sometimes to much back drop is being explained to us.  That can get rather annoying.  I think how it showed Sookie with someone who is closer to her that she may realize.  I am defiantly curious to see how these books play out.

~Two Cats Three Tales~
by: Lilian Jackson Braun

This book is three stories wrapped into one book. It starts out with The Cat who Read Backwards. Which is a really great story about Qwill and Koko and how they ended up together when Qwill is covering the beat of Artists. Koko’s owner ends up meeting his demise and Koko becomes an orphan who warms up to Qwill and the two sail off into the sunset. The next book is The Cat who Ate Modern Danish in this one we find Qwill and Koko getting into the lifestyle of decorating. Where Yu or Freya more commonly known afterwards as Yumyum is introduced. Her owner has died and her owner’s spouse kicks Yumyum to the street literally. Meanwhile Koko is showing signs of loneliness and after meeting with a cat person he realizes that Koko is needing another cat. Which makes Qwill think back to Yu aka Freya. Which he rescues and after she gets medical treatment she is brought into the family. To which the story ends. The Next in the series is The Cat who turned Off and On. In this story we find the trio checking into Junktown which is a part of town not the best either by the way, which is known for antiquing. So the trio move into an apartment where the people are set in their ways and not always practicing the best principles. Of course like any Cat Who book there is a murder when Qwill’s landlord dies while raiding a house looking for antiques. These books are great reads with clean language and not to gruesome. Which in this day and age seems fewer and fewer. Most Books know are so graphic you get an upset stomach reading about it.

~The Ghost of Crutchfield Hall~

by: Mary Downing

I thoroughly enjoyed this little story written by Mary Downing Hahn.  It is the story of James Crutchfield and his cousin Florence.  Florence has spent some time in a orphanage, and is adopted by her long lost Uncle.  She meets James and learns about the death of his sister Sophia.  Sophia a spirit who cannot rest for whatever reason.  She is spent on causing pain to her brother out of jealousy.  I thought it was well written and any teenager or adult would find the story interesting with the fact that jealousy will rear it's head at any situation.

~The Cat Who Read Backwards~
by: Lilian Jackson Braun

This was a great first read on the Kindle it's the story of James Macintosh Qwilleran.  He has had a hard life having a failed marriage drinking problems, but alas our hero comes out on top getting a job at the Daily Fluxion reporting art of all kinds.  There he meets the art critique who's out to score against all up and coming artists.  Qwill as he prefers to be called has his first meeting with KoKo who is quite the crime sleuth.  This book sets up alot of their history of how they interacted in the beginning.

~The Cat Who Ate Modern Danish~
by: Lilian Jackson Braun

Again we are brought back to Qwill and Koko who have succeeded together, and have moved on from reporting art to now doing interior design where they meet various people.  Qwill gets involved in two murders, jems being stolen, and a cat who's been abused.  Yum Yum who in the begining of the story had two different names between Yu and Freya.  Qwill settles to call her Yum Yum when he saves her from her previous owners.  I enjoy this series as the language is clean and the murders aren't gruesome so to speak they are tasteful.

~Witch and Wizard~
by: James Patterson

James Patterson has really hit on something when he wrote the book witch and wizard which follows Wisty and Whit Allgood.  They lead what they thought was a normal life until one day they are arrested in the middle of the night for practicing witchcraft.  Which in itself makes you wonder when that happened as they don't even know they have powers.  Then it is a fight to stay alive.  I really enjoyed this book, I wouldn't have even thought of it as a young adult book until you realize that the two main characters are teenagers. I can't wait to see what James Patterson does when he puts out Book 2 on this series.

~Breaking Dawn~
by: Stephenie Meyer

So I finished up Breaking Dawn today, wow can we say alot of pages :) I really think it was a good story.  I think some people have trouble identifying with it, if you haven't been married, or gotten pregnant or even had a baby.  I think if you have done any of those then you know that you will protect those you love more than anything else in the world.  I was glad to see that Jacob was finally able to move on after Bella.  And that Bella found the strength she never knew she had.  I was a tad concerned with Alice's disappearance but glad it was explained in such a way we can understand it.  And very very very glad Bella was able to have her forever with Edward!  Overall a 5 star book in my opinion.

~Eclipse~

I thought this book was very good as we open the story we find ourselves still dealing with the Jacob-Edward love trangle.  Centering around Bella and who she will choose.  Meanwhile the Cullens and La Push are dealing with a string of murders in Seattle.  It becomes evident that there is an army brewing.

There is alot more action in this book, along with some tough decisions on Bella's part.  I enjoyed this as I have enjoyed the whole Twilight series.  The conflict Bella goes through with dealing with who she loves more.  You also learn that Edward through Jacob can see the pain he caused Bella in New Moon.  I will definitely keep this set of books around cause they are ones I could reread.  On to Breaking Dawn...

~Twilight and New Moon~
by: Stephenie Meyer

I thoroughly enjoyed Twilight, as it set up the main characters and you got an understanding of how Bella and Edward met and got to know one another.  You also meet all the Cullens, and People from LaPush.  Definitely a book I could reread.  New Moon was good as well when it dealt with Bella's turmoil, and how she got past Edward.  I didn't like that Jacob used her feelings to make her choose between them.  I think from Twilight we knew she would choose Edward.  So Jacob in my opinion was a stretch of a character with the fascination he had with Bella.  Maybe it was their way to help give Jacob some guide of love, as he didn't have her.

~Long Time Gone~
by: J.A. Jance

This is a great book it really has you turning just when you think you have it solved there is another twist that you aren't expecting. The main character is J.P. Beaumont who has been around for a while. He has moved up from Seattle P.D. to a special team known as S.H.I.T squad. He has been put on a very cold case which proves to have many twists and turns through out the book. Should be a great read for anyone who likes a good story with twists and turns and a major surprise ending. I definitely give this book 5 stars.
